Ingredients

2 sticks butter, softened

1/2 cup sugar

1 2/3 cup flour, mixed with 1 tsp. baking powder

1 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp. cocoa powder

1/4 tsp. salt

2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees f.

Step 2

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in remaining ingredients. You should have a soft slightly sticky dough. Roll heaping teaspoons into small balls and place on small un-greased baking sheets, well spread apart. Dip a fork in water and flatten the cookies. Re-wet the fork every 4-5 cookies.

Step 3

Bake 18-22 minutes - cookies should crisp as they cool. Store at room temperature in a airtight container.
