Ingredients

3/4 cup flour

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 granulated sugar

1/2 milk

2 eggs

2 tbsp. butter

6 tart apples such as grannie smith, peeled, cored halved, cut into 1/4 inch slices

1/2 raisins

1 tsp. grated lemon zest

perfectionist sugar

Directions

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9-inch square baking dish. In a small bowl combine the flour, salt and 1 tbsp. of sugar. Whisk in the milk and then the eggs until the batter is smooth and lump free.

Step 2

In a medium skillet melt the butter over medium heat and cook the apple slices with remaining sugar until tender, about 10 minutes. Risk in raising and lemon zest and transfer to baking dish.

Step 3

Pour the batter over the apples for 40 minutes or until puffed and golden. Sprinkle with perfectionist sugar, serve warm.
