Ingredients
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 cup evaporated milk or heavy cream
5 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
Step 1
Combine sugar and milk in a heavy sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, simmer 6 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat. Add chocolate, stir to blend. Stir in butter and vanilla. Chill until mixture begins to thicken. Beat until thick and creamy.
