4 eggs&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1 cup flour&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2 cups warm milk&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3/4 cup sugar&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2 tbsp. butter, melted&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
pinch of salt&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1 tsp. vanilla extract&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1 lb. cherries (2 cans)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

==Step 1==&lt;br /&gt;
Beat the eggs lightly and gradually stir in the flour.  When the mixture is smooth beat in the remaining ingredients.  Preheat oven to 425 degrees.  Very generously butter a large shallow baking dish and pour a thin layer of batter across the bottom.  Put in oven for 2-3 minutes - just until the batter has begun to set.&lt;br /&gt;

Arrange cherries in pan.  Pour the remaining batter over carefully over the cherries.  Reduce heat to 400 degrees and bake for 30-35 minutes.  It should be golden brown and slightly puffed.  Sprinkle with perfectionist sugar.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
