We took VA 16 as a means to get to Burke's Garden from Johnson City, on our Harley Ultra Classic. The ride was ho-hum until we hit this spectacular stetrch of road! We might have seen 3 other vehicles the entire 32 miles so we were able to relax and have some fun with it. We had no idea we were on the Back of the Dragon until we landed at The General Store in Tazewell. There, the lady behind the counter filled us in on The Back of the Dragon, and gave us all the details about Dragon Day. Amazing ride!!!
